Our Plan:
We are going to demolish the apartment building and restore the church building.
We will be hiring a professional with heavy equipment to take down the apartment building. But first, we will
"gut out" the main building and pile the debris on the parking lot. Then when the apartment is demolished, we will haul it
all away at one time.
When We Are Working:
We are mostly done with removing the debris. We have been working whenever possible to get to this point.
I have just decided to plan one day per week for general volunteer work (probably Saturdays) to avoid burn out.
However, For anyone who has the skills and wants to take on a project, please call me and we will arrange the details
Jobs
Project type jobs requiriing trade skills or some construction experience:
- Seting Exterior Doors (as soon as we get the doors)
- Furnace Instalation
- Laying Concrete Blocks (about 70 blocks need to be laid to close up a doorway and Window in the exterior wall)
- Cutting and placing insulation and ceiling panels
- Electrical Wiring
- Some Basic Framing
- Pouring a small amount of concrete (about 1/2 yard)
- Other jobs will be posted later
